Saving files for Janome embroidery machines. Problems with the JEF format.
Many users of embroidery machines convert machine embroidery designs from format to format using the Wilcom free embroidery converter. But mostly the owners of Janome embroidery machines face the problem of saving embroidery designs. By all appearances the designs is converted to the necessary format and saved on a flash card, has the size that does not exceed the hoop; however the machine does not see the machine embroidery design.
In such situation you should not hurry to conclude that the machine is broken and the embroidery design is not of good quality. Everything is much easier.
THE ORDER OF SAVE PATTERN ON THE FLASH CARD
Before save machine embroidery design on the flash card you should format it. To do this, turn on the embroidery machine, take the USB Flash and insert it into the card slot located on the right side of the machine. Then read carefully the instructions on formatting USB Flash. As soon as you do everything correctly, you can find two system folders on the flash, one of which you can use for your machine embroidery design (also free machine embroidery from www.needlework.ru).
EMBROIDERY SOFTWARE FOR CONVERTING TO JEF FORMAT
JEF format is considered to be uncertain because not every emboidery program can correctly save the embroidery file. The Wilcom free embroidery designs converter is almost powerless in this situation. The fact is that when saving JEF the Wilcom converter incorrectly indicates the hoop centering. As a result, according to the processor of your embroidery machine, the embroidery design has the size bigger than it actually is.
Nowadays, the most useful embroidery software for saving embroidery designs in JEF format are Digitizer JR Converter (embroidery software for converting and updating files from Janome company) and popular Embird. Also Customizer 10 000 is the ancient but available and perfectly suited machine embroidery software for this purpose.
