Question: I can't open BERNINA Artista embroidery file - art format. Please help me. Why is this occurring?
Bernina Artista comes out with a new version of their embroidery software, and subsequently new versions of the ART machine embroidery format, every year. Now new version 6 (please update you version 5 to version 6) of the BERNINA Artista software. We using 2 machine embroidery formats 2 and 3. These embroidery ART formats may be open newest and older version BERNINA ARTISTA embroidery software.. Many customers have version 3 of the BERNINA Artista software, so we offer designs in ART3, too. Bernina Artista software is backwards compatible, so if you have version 4 or 5. 6 (or higher), you can open all lower or previous versions (1,2,3,4,5) with it. We don't using higher version than 4, and we don't have a lower version than 2 or 3.
Next step for help. What version of BERNINA ARTISTA embroidery software do you using? Newest embrodery version of BERNINA ARTISTA 6 software use 6 different types of ART files available, V1.0, V2.0, V3.0, v4.0 or .ART50, .ART60. Older versions of the BERNINA artista Embroidery software or ARTLink are not able to open newer versions of ART flies. For instance, if you have version 1.0 of the BERNINA ARTISTA embroidery software, then you won’t be able to read newer versions of ART embroidery files newer than v1.0. ART embroidery designs at www.needlework.ru are made in the version 2.0. Version 1.0 users can't open version 2.0 designs, just as v2.0 users aren’t able to open v3.0 or higher ART files. If you are not able to get an older version of ART file from your design source, you could use and alternate format such as DST, PES, HUS, JEF, to be able to open them in your older BERNINA software. Until you update, you will continue to need to order your embroidery designs in a DST, PES, HUS, JEF format.
